Kinesio-tape.com with KMS for KINESIO TEX tape and effective kinesiotaping techniques in rehabiltiationKINESIO TEX® TAPE is a very thin (about the same thickness as skin), porous cotton fabric with a medical grade acrylic adhesive. A special method of adhesive application and porous nature of the fabric allows the skin to breathe and showering cleans part of the skin under the TAPE. The TAPE is designed for a 30 to 40% longitudinal only stretch and when applied lifts the skin and provides support for surrounding soft tissue.

This TAPE is LATEX FREE and NON-MEDICATED.

KINESIO TEX® TAPE was designed to be worn for multiple days ( 3 to 4 ); and an hour after application it will withstand athletic activity and showering without coming off. The Water Resistant Type is necessary for taping of hands and feet. Proper application does not require multiple layers of TAPE; due to location of muscles, an application may cross over another application.

This TAPE is very skin friendly and irritation is rare; you should still look for signs of irritation.

Our bodies were designed to move and with the Kinesio Taping Technique and Kinesio Tex® Tape you promote motion. The TECHNIQUE relies heavily on insertions and origins of muscles. When in a relaxed state, skin properly taped with Kinesio Tex® Tape will have natural wrinkles (convolutions).

Theoretically, KINESIO TEX® TAPE will lift the skin to increase the space between the skin and muscle. This reduced localized pressure help promote circulation, lymphatic drainage and lessens the irritation on the subcutaneous neural pain receptors. As an end result, the Kinesio® Taping Technique reduces pain, swelling and muscle spasm; and subsequently promotes the body’s natural healing processes. Additionally, the built-in stretch of the TAPE supports fatigued, weakened and/or strained muscles.

Kinesio Taping Labs(Workshops/Seminars):  The books and video are tools to help you learn the Kinesio® Taping Technique. However, for the medical professional, the BEST and quickest way to learn "The Technique" is to attend a scheduled (open) Taping Lab presented by an experienced Certified Kinesio® Taping Instructor. Better Yet, sponsor a Lab in your locale -- economically it takes 12 to 18 people [6 to 9 taping pairs] then EVERYONE receives Kinesio® Instructions directly from an Instructor of your choice and one that fits your needs.

There are Taping Labs [both of the "open" and "closed" type] going on some place in the United States most months. For information regarding scheduled [open] Kinesio® Taping Labs or for sponsoring a Lab [of the "open" or "closed" type], please
